At Citizens Care we emphasize Care and Wellness in everything we do. Our activity program is no exception. Your loved one has the opportunity to choose from an extensive calendar of events.
There’s Always Something Happening at Citizens Care, activities are designed to be entertaining as well as physically and mentally challenging, and residents are encouraged to pick and choose their preferred programs from the many offerings.
Socialization plays a big part in the healing process. In the rehabilitation part of our facility activities are offered in between therapies and in the evening.
Families are encouraged to spend quality time with their loved ones by sharing meals during special occasions and holidays. The activity department and the dietary department work closely together to see that these experiences are not only delicious but also entertaining for all as well.
Choose from an extensive calendar of events, including:
- Full in-house activity schedule including arts and crafts, music, games, weekly Gourmet Galley cooking classes, bingo, bowling and a monthly black tie dinner for residents.
- Opportunities to socialize with families including Mother’s Day Tea, Thanksgiving and Christmas
- Weekly worship services
- Frequent shopping, dining and entertainment outings including Longwood Gardens, shopping at Harford and Christiana Malls, picnics at Tydings Park and trips to the Herr’s potato chip factory Walks along the Chesapeake Bay on the nearby promenade
- Visits from the Silver Reader and Pets on Wheels
