Read the latest Covid 19 update.

February 11, 2025

Good afternoon, Residents, Responsible Parties, Staff Members and Visitors,

Today we need to share that we have identified two Covid-19 positive cases associated with our facility. One long term care resident and one facility team member have tested positive during the last 24 hours. The positive resident has been placed in isolation and they will be cared for and monitored closely. The team member involved will not return to the building for up to seven days and only then if cleared to return per CDC guidelines. This individual has not been in the building since last week, so we are hopeful the risk of transmission is minimal with this particular case.

Obviously, we are concerned about the risk of others being potentially exposed to Covid-19. Our nursing team responded quickly and testing has already been completed on the majority of those residents and staff considered at risk through these positive cases. All tests so far are negative. We will provide updates accordingly, as periodic testing will continue throughout the remainder of the week.

Testing before and after each visit is a crucial step in preventing the spread of Covid-19. We can supply a limited number of test kits for visitors to use at home. The kits can be picked up in the front lobby while they last. We continue to ask that individuals who are experiencing cold or flu-like symptoms, refrain from visiting until those symptoms have been resolved for at least 48 hours and also a negative Covid-19 test has been completed.

It is also crucial for all individuals to continue to wear masks inside of our facility. Frequent hand sanitizing, social distancing when possible and disinfecting high touch surfaces are all very beneficial when combatting Covid-19 as well as other viruses. We appreciate everyone’s assistance in protecting our residents and staff.

Sincerely,

Ed Walter,
Administrator
