Read the latest Covid 19 update.

April 12, 2024

Dear Residents, Family Members, Staff and Visitors,

In an effort to keep everyone up to date with our Covid-19 status, we need to inform you that two individuals connected to our center tested positive this week. A staff member tested positive during the middle of a shift this week, after developing symptoms that were not present at the start of the shift. This staff member will be off of the schedule until cleared to return per facility guidelines.

The second individual is a resident admitted to our center for sub-acute rehabilitation. This individual will be monitored closely and cared for while in isolation. Given the timing of these two cases and additional circumstances, it is apparent that they are not connected to each other. Regardless testing of other residents and staff, possibly exposed to Covid-19 through these two cases, will continue for the next several days.

Our center will continue with Covid-19 guidelines that are presently in place. Masks must continue to be worn in all areas of the building. Frequent hand sanitizing is recommended as is social distancing when possible. Frequent testing is suggested and the center continues to be able to assist with test kits or testing onsite if needed. Please advise our staff if you need assistance with tests.

We are aware that some Covid-19 guidelines for the general population have been modified by the Maryland Department of Health(MDH). Please note as a healthcare facility, those recent changes do not apply to our center. Our residents remain extremely vulnerable to viruses and we wish to keep all of them and our staff as safe as possible. We wish to remind all visitors to please refrain from visiting if you have cold/flu like symptoms. We strongly recommend that you complete testing for Covid-19 and Influenza if you are experiencing those symptoms. As always, we strongly suggest that everyone become up to date with all vaccinations including those for Covid-19, RSV and Influenza.

Thank you for supporting our center as we continue to handle the challenges that Covid-19 presents.

Sincerely,

Ed Walter,
Administrator
