Read the latest Covid 19 update.

December 31, 2024

Dear Residents, Family Members, Staff Members and Visitors,

Since our last Covid-19 update on 12/27 /24, our center has made progress in slowing the transmission of positive cases. We do not have any additional positive cases to report at this time. We continue to have residents, who previously tested positive, being cared for while in isolation. They remain stable and we will continue to follow facility and CDC guidelines for the duration of their isolation period. Staff members who have tested positive during the current outbreak have all returned to work after following recommended guidelines and testing negative for Covid-19.

Please note since this current outbreak started earlier this month, our center has completed over 1000 Covid-19 tests on residents and staff. The sooner positive cases are detected, the faster our staff can respond in an effort to prevent further transmission of this virus. Our center continues to consult with our local and state health departments as we seek additional input on responding to the challenges that Covid-19 has brought to our community.

We hope that our recent trend of negative tests is an indication that we are heading in the right direction with curtailing this current outbreak. However, we must still stress that our precautions remain in place. Everyone’s cooperation is appreciated as we continue to require individuals to wear masks inside the facility. We also continue to encourage hand sanitizing both inside and outside of the facility on a frequent basis.

It is also beneficial for everyone affiliated with our center, to frequently complete Covid-19 tests. Tests can be obtained through the federal government by going to the following website, https://covidtests.gov. We have a very limited supply of test kits available right now, so we are encouraging everyone to obtain their own free kits through government agencies. We also respectfully request that individuals who are symptomatic with cold or flu- like symptoms, refrain from coming to the building until those symptoms have subsided for at least 48 hours and you have completed a negative test for Covid.

On behalf of Citizens Care Center, we would like to extend our wishes to everyone for a very Happy New Year! We will provide further updates as needed through the remainder of this week.

Sincerely,

Ed Walter,
Administrator
