Good Afternoon Residents, Family Members, Staff and Visitors
Testing for Covid-19 continues at Citizens Care and Rehab Center as the center remains in outbreak status. This communication is to share that since our last update, three additional residents have tested positive for Covid-19. All three residents have been placed on isolation and will be cared for, while being monitored closely. On an encouraging note, we have not had any additional staff members test positive for Covid-19 during this same time period.
This week we have been able to move residents, who tested positive for Covid-19, out of isolation. We have also been able to welcome back a number of staff members who completed an isolation period and during follow up testing, tested negative for Covid-19. While these are good signs, we still caution everyone that we must continue to follow guidelines in order to prevent further spread of this virus.
Masks continue to be mandatory. Everyone should practice frequent hand sanitizing and social distancing. As always, we continue to remind everyone that the best defense against Covid-19 and other viruses is to be up to date with vaccinations. Please discuss this option with your primary care physician and consider scheduling an appointment to update your vaccinations. There are many local areas offering vaccines including Weis, Shop Rite and Safeway pharmacies along with Rite Aid and CVS.
The federal government is offering free test kits, which would be very valuable for everyone to use at home before coming into the center. To receive your test kits, simply visit: www.COVIDtest.gov
